Internship at Saint Gobain Recherche
My internship theme was “the recycling of construction materials”. Detailed analysis and projects are confidential, so not communicated here.
The goal was to understand the stakes of recycling in the building industry. Starting with a lot of reading and number studies, I was able to create a list of actors, stakes and motivations behind the existing system. I then went on field research to compare my findings to the reality of the building place. I met small builders, recycling companies, destruction sites and retailers…
The result of this first phase was a research presentation, made to the designer team of Saint Gobain Research. This study made me define fields in which design could make a difference, as well as success criterias of future projects, especially on the economical and social level.
